The Vikings Blade Safety Razor Review - Customer Review

Bought the Vikings Blade few days ago and was expecting to have it delivered today. So I purposely refused to shave this morning. I was in luck as the package came before 11am. Honestly I would have to admit that the Vikings Blade not only met my expectation, it surpassed it effortlessly.

I had spent quite a lot of quality time researching a good double razor blade. I knew amazon was going to be my last bus stop so I pitched my tent and settled for reading reviews. The Vikings Blade had impressive ratings and so out of this world reviews. After reading through a couple of reviews, I was just anxious to try it out. It is exactly as they said it would be and much more.

I know it might seem like an exaggeration if I said it is the best and smoothest shave I have had for a very long time. My Weishi razor just wasn’t ready to cooperate with my face. I like the fact that the Vikings Blade combs with a micro-comb as I finally understood it was responsible for avoiding cuts while shaving. All in all, I am excited and happy to have purchased this product. Did I add that it is very affordable? Well I am glad I did say it exceeded my expectations and much more!

The Viking Blade Review

Last Christmas, my girlfriend bought me the Vikings Blade safety razor. Just before you wonder how strange a gift it might be, I tend to shave every morning before leaving the house. She alone understands the hassle of trying to avoid being late and avoiding cuts on my face. I was not too certain about changing blades or brands as I felt it might affect my skin. First time I used the Vikings Blade, the razor ran through my face like it was nothing. I had to check if the blades where in the right place and making contact with my skin at all.

My face feels smooth and clean with no single bumps on it. Another thing about the product that I like is that it is ease to clean and maintain. Changing of blades is still another plus for me. It doesn’t take me much time to change blades because the butterfly head opens so easily and lets the blades out without much struggle. Although because of my large hands I find it difficult having a firm grip on the handle, it hefty weight feels give me the confidence that it would hold out and not break.

After a while I got curious and decided to ask how she knew or heard of the Vikings Blade. Apparently she had seen the ads for it when she was shopping online some days before. Usually I wouldn’t do this but I highly recommend the product for anyone looking to buy a good double edge razor.

I got the Vikings Blade roughly eight months ago and decided to delay a while before reviewing the product. Usually I am one of those persons that have trust issues with products purchase over the internet. After having lots of let downs by other brands I used in the past, I decided to try out the Vikings Blade Safety Razor. I am usually clumsy when it comes to the use of blades so I dread shaving (although I admit it is something I have to do every two days). First thing I noticed about the Vikings Blade was its hefty feel; it allows for a firm grip. 

I don’t have the smoothest of face, so this doesn’t give me the best of shaving experience. Anyways my first use of the Vikings Blade was on the same day I received the package. The butterfly head allows for a smooth shave, even with my earlier facial bumps. For a while now, I don’t have those bumps on my face but I am not entirely sure if it had anything to do with the product. Since the product came with 5 blades, I was glad I wouldn’t even spend money yet in replacing the blades. So when the time finally came, you can imagine how surprised I was to discover how cheap they were sold.

So after eight months of use, I can recommend this product to anyone looking to dump a brand. N Unlike most people, I didn’t do much research before purchasing the product but later on I went online to see if everybody had same similar experience as I do when shaving. Amazon reviews and ratings was enough to convince me I was not alone in all of this.

Viking Blade Safety Razor Review - Does What I want

First of all, I did not buy this because of the "raw manliness" shtick. If anything, that sort of BS marketing tends to turn me off of a product. If your masculinity is defined by the products you buy, then you'd be better off spending your money on a therapist. Seriously.

That said, I decided to make the move to this "old-fashioned" type of razor because I have been working overseas in areas where it can be difficult to find the more common disposable plastic heads, making the double edge blades a more economical and easier to pack alternative. I went looking for a new razor because I wasn't pleased with the one I had, which has some heft to it but has a build quality I've not been thrilled with. I was attracted to the Vikings Blade because of the butterfly head, which I prefer to my old razor's screw-apart head. I also liked that reviewers kept mentioning that the razor covers the ends of the blades, since I've had a bad habit of nicking myself up.

Because I have very sensitive skin, I only shave a couple times a week, so I've only used the razor a couple of times since it arrived. So far, though, I have been very pleased with it. I agree with the other reviewers that it covers the ends of the blades well, so I've been able to shave near nostrils and the corners of my mouth without slicing myself, which has been very welcome. Being able to drop a blade in and close the head with a quick twist is also a very welcome improvement over the old razor.

I will say that I did have a small amount of razor burn first time out, but no more than I would have had with any other product and I would say a bit less than with the old razor. I also like the fact that this came with a case, which will make it easier to pack when I head back overseas in a few weeks. On the whole, I'm happy with this purchase.
